As a defensive back from Missouri City, Texas, Hurd has been a standout player since he began at Fort Bend Marshall High School. At Fort Bend, Toney Hurd earned Under Armour High School All-America and first-team all-district honors as a senior. These achievements lured in numerous offers from schools such as Notre Dame and Tennessee. Eventually, Hurd chose to join the ranks of the talented Texas A&M football team.
