Ricky Cavanaugh was born in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1990. While attending LBJ High School Ricky Cavanaugh made 186 tackles, 34.5 sacks, blocked 6 kicks and scored five defensive touchdowns. Ricky Cavanaugh received many honors for this hard work which include Texas Sports Writer’s Association 4A Defensive Player of the year, District 17-4A Defensive MVP, and was named to the Austin American Statesman First Team All-CenTex defensive line. In 2008, Rick Cavanaugh was a true freshman for the Texas A&M football team. Ricky Cavanaugh, #35, played in five games during the 2008 season. The 6’2” 215 lbs linebacker made seven tackles which included three solo tackles against Baylor.
