Matthew Featherston hopes to fill holes on the Texas Aggies football team that were left by the departure of starters Misi Tupe and Mark Dodge. Although Featherston may lack the athletic skills of some other candidates, Featherston is the top candidate for the middle linebacker position. With new head coach Mike Sherman at the helm, Matt Featherston hopes to make an even bigger impact on the Aggies Football team. As a freshman, Featherston proved he was a strong defender right off the bench. He recorded 26 tackles and recovered a fumble on the goal line against Texas Tech which caused the crowd to go crazy. One of the few players on the Aggies roster from out of state, Matt Featherston is from New York where he played defensive end and tight end in high school. He is touted as a solid all around athlete and brags about a 36 inch vertical jump.
