More Info
Jerrod Johnson was born July 27, 1988 in Houston, Texas. While attending Humble High School, Jerrod Johnson was the 2005 Houston Touchdown Club Offensive Player-of-the-Year and was named one of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Top 15 Quarterbacks.

Jerrod Johnson has the potential to be the starting Texas A&M Aggies quarterback. Aggies head coach Mike Sherman did not name a starting quarterback in the Spring practices. Sherman instead called the budding quarterback controversy a healthy competition. In his first year of college, Jerrod Johnson saw action in five games as the Aggies’ backup quarterback, leading the offense to touchdowns on six of the eight drives he quarterbacked. In 2008, Jerrod Johnson earned honorable-mention sophomore All-America honors by College Football News, while also starting the final ten games at quarterback after seeing action at wide receiver to start the season. Jerrod Johnson even set a school record with 419 yards passing against Kansas State. Get your Aggie football tickets to see Jerrod Johnson in action!

Jerrod Johnson would love the opportunity to lead the Texas Aggies football team to a victory or two next season, but he will have to show he is worthy to start.

Jerrod Johnson is the son of Larry Johnson who played wide receiver and defensive back for the Aggies football team in the late 1970s so playing for the maroon and white is in his blood. A good old fashioned Texas quarterback competition is the perfect way to keep Aggies fans on the edge of their seats.
