Red-shirted in 2007 for his freshman year, Danny Baker was a huge contributor in the 2008 season. Danny Baker played in nine games last season, including starting in the Miami and Texas games.

In high school Danny Baker played for Elkins High School. He was just as important to the offensive line there as well. Danny Baker was named All-Greater Houston Team by the Houston Chronicle his senior year. He also was honored with second-team all-state honors. Danny Baker was also a two-time first-team all-district offensive lineman.
