Chevar Bryson will be a key to the Aggies Defense. With previous experience as a defensive back, Chevar Bryson may move over and play wideout next season. Coach Mike Sherman has been talking about Chevar Bryson and his ability to play multiple positions on defense and on the Aggies special teams unit.
As a Texas A&M University freshman in 2006, Chevas Bryson made six tackles and played during twelve games. He has most of his success with the Aggies Football team on special teams.
Standing at 5’11” and weighing 182lbs, Chevar Bryson switched to wide receiver after starting the season at defensive back in his junior year, where he saw action in all 12 games.
Hailing from Midland, Texas Chevar Bryson grew up in the heart of friday night football. Chevar Bryson was born on September 4, 1986 in Midland Texas. While attending Midland Lee High School, this two-time all-district selection at defensive back also earned honorable mention Class 5A all-state honors. Posting 55 tackles and leading his team with three interceptions as a senior, Chevar Bryson was also a member of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Super Team.
Chevar Bryson is known for his ability to tackle even the quickest running backs and is also dangerous returning kicks, including scoring three touchdowns off of kick returns in one season.
With new head coach Mike Sherman leading the Aggies football team, there are sure to be changes in positions, but Chevar Bryson is willing and able to move around on defense in order to bring the Texas A&M Aggies another victory!
